In the battle for skilled workers, bleisure travel is increasingly becoming a must-have for companies. More and more companies are making this possible. This is the result of a recent survey as part of the "Chefsache Business Travel" study. According to the survey, 89 percent of business travelers can now combine a business trip with vacation days.
These are other results of the study:
„[…] When it comes to travel expenses, the majority of companies are generous when it comes to bleisure trips, with 53 percent of respondents working for a company that fully covers travel costs. Significantly fewer business travelers (28 percent) have to participate themselves.
Those who can use bleisure travel usually take advantage of the offer. Last year, 83 percent of those surveyed who had the opportunity to do so did so. The majority of them (58 percent) would like to continue to combine business and private life on business trips in the future. This is especially true for respondents aged 40 and over and frequent travelers who travel for business three or more times a month (70 percent each).
Attractive destination as the main reason for bleisure travel
The biggest motivation to use bleisure travel is an attractive destination. For 44 percent of those surveyed who have already combined business travel with vacation, the beach, sights or culture were decisive. It also plays an important role that there is room for manoeuvre, i.e. that there are no urgent professional tasks after the business trip (40 percent). Another common reason for bleisure travel is the desire to relax after a business trip (34 percent). […]“
