From 28 September 2023 , Etihad Airways will resume flights from Düsseldorf to its international hub in Abu Dhabi after the interruption caused by the pandemic. The state-owned airline of the United Arab Emirates last served the route three times a week non-stop from Düsseldorf in 2020.

A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will be used on the Dusseldorf - Abu Dhabi route, offering passengers 28 seats in Business Class and 262 seats in Economy Class. Initially, three weekly connections will be offered - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Etihad continues to grow

Etihad is significantly increasing frequencies, including for Chennai, Rome, Kochi, Madrid, Milan, Phuket, Cairo, Islamabad and the Maldives. From 29 October 2023, the Frankfurt connections will grow by four flights per week to a total of eleven. The frequency from Munich will increase to ten times a week from November 21, 2023.

Even bigger and better: The new Terminal A Airport Abu Dhabi will open in November 2023.
